As a first-semester transfer student in the School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts (SSHA), you will be able to attend a group advising session with Academic Advisor, Transfer Coordinator Linda Safer for your Transfer Transition Meeting (TTM), beginning February 10, 2026, and continuing every Tuesday through March 10, 2026. The mandatory Transfer Transition Meeting must be completed during your first semester at UC Merced; you must complete this meeting no later than March 10, 2026. We hope that participating in an advising session early in the semester will assist you in transitioning to UC Merced by facilitating progress in your degree and supporting the development of your educational goals, while also having the opportunity to connect with fellow SSHA transfer students.
What to Expect During Your TTM Tuesday Session:
- Learn how to read and interpret your MyDegreePath audit
- Begin creating a graduation plan and map out your remaining semesters at UC Merced
- Explore options such as changing your major, adding a minor, or pursuing a double major
- Review your transfer coursework to ensure it has been applied correctly
- Connect with fellow SSHA transfer students and build your academic community
- Receive information about valuable on- and off-campus resources to support your success
