Academic Advisor Walk-In Hours

*Note: Advising assignments depicted below are for non-first year SSHA students. All first-year students are advised within the Bobcat Advising Center.

As of March 21, 2022, walk-ins will be available via Zoom and in-person. Please review availability below to see when an academic advisor is accessible virtually or in-person.

*Advisor availability is on a first-come, first serve basis (there may be a wait time, so your patience is greatly appreciated).

When joining SSHA Academic Advising Virtual Walk-In Hours, please note the following:

  1. Upon clicking the Zoom link, you will join our main session where you will be greeted and checked-in by our receptionist.
  2. Once checked in, you will be placed back into the virtual waiting room until an academic advisor or Peer Navigator becomes available.
  3. Based on a student’s need(s) and academic advisor availability, you will be referred to the corresponding academic advisor’s breakout room.
  4. Once your session has ended, your academic advisor will inform you how to leave the meeting.
Note: If the “Meeting has been Locked” message appears, this means that our list is closed due to capacity and no further students will be allowed to enter at that time. Feel free to check back in later to see if the waiting room opens up again OR send an email to your assigned Advisor with your questions.
*Effective December 9, 2021, SSHA Academic Advising Virtual Walk-In hours will not be accessible via personal email addresses. To join virtual walk-in hours, you must do so using your UC Merced Email account or you will be unable to access the waiting room.
