SSHA Academic Resiliency Program
Hello and welcome to the SSHA Academic Resiliency Program (SSHAARP) homepage!
SSHAARP is a designed experience that will assist and provide individual support to continuing and transfer School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts (SSHA) students facing academic challenges and have been noted as Academic Probation for their academic standing. You can read more about UC Merced's Academic Standing policies HERE.
*If you are a first year student and/or Undeclared/Undecided student, please be sure to connect with your BAC Academic Advisor for support. You may find their contact information HERE.
The SSHAARP intervention is administered via CatCourse. SSHA continuing and transfer students will receive a personalized course invitation, as well as a Welcome Email, at the beginning of the semester. Be sure to check your UC Merced email regularly for this information and to accept the CatCourse. SSHAARP does not impact a student's GPA or credit hours. The purpose of this intervention is to provide knowledge and academic skillset development to assist with GPA recovery.
You will receive the following by actively engaging with the intervention:
- Individualized support from an assigned academic coach
- Developed reflective activities to assist with skill-set growth - all at your own pace
- Access to resources and information to support expanding your network
We are so excited to work with you! If you have any questions please reach out to SSHA Academic Advising or your SSHA Academic Advisor.
